Slovenia
Welcome to Slovenia
Slovenia is a living, breathing fairytale in a mesmerizingly beautiful natural landscape. Step into its vibrant pages and discover the snow-capped Julian Alps, aquamarine rivers, Venetian harbor towns and a terrific foodie scene.
Outdoor activity reigns supreme here, from rafting on the Soca River to cycling and hiking in the Alps foothills. If your style of outdoor activity is more on the beach end of the spectrum, that option is always there, on the gorgeous Adriatic coastline. Explore cultural treasures, too, from dramatic castles to Gothic churches.
In Ljubljana, sip coffee with the locals who gather in Prešeren Square or walk across the iconic Triple Bridge to Plecnik’s Covered Market for locally grown produce. Take a gingerbread-making class in Rodovljice or visit Lake Bled and its seemingly floating Church of the Assumption.
Satisfy the appetite you’ve worked up with all that outdoor adventure and partake of Slovenia’s gastronomy scene, from savory potato dumplings to the truly decadent, multilayered gibanica dessert. Slovenia is spectacular.
