- The tidal range in Guernsey is one of the largest in the world at 33 feet.
- If you visit a home in west Guernsey, you might see a piece of granite sticking out of it. This is known as a “witch’s seat,” harkening back to a time when witches were believed to run wild in the area. The seats were created so witches could stop and rest.
- The world-renowned Guernsey cows are known to produce some of the richest and delicious dairy products in the world.
- There’s a Fairy Ring in Guernsey, a mysterious circle in the ground in Pleinmont. According to folklore, if you walk around it three times and make a wish, that wish will come true.
- One of the oldest post boxes in the British Isles is on Guernsey. It’s on Union Street and is recognizable because it’s red, while all other post boxes are blue.

Bus service connects all main villages, beaches and main attractions, with St. Peter Port as a hub.
