Faroe Islands
Welcome to Faroe Islands
When you’re hiking in the Faroe Islands, you may just expect a Viking to come charging over the emerald hillside. The storybook landscape of the islands – where sheep outnumber people – beckon adventurous travelers who seek epic trekking opportunities, the chance to spot an endangered puffin and kayaking in the raging waters of the North Atlantic Ocean.
Then again, it’s also for those who want to dine on farm-fresh Faroese cuisine at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Effortlessly combining Northern European chic and startling natural beauty, the islands can shift their personality to suit your travel dreams.
Explore cute-as-a-button villages, snap a photo of the shape-shifting lake of Sorvagsvatn and definitely don’t miss the famous Mulafossur Falls.
